On the way around the world

Wohin gehen wir eigentlich hin? Das kleine aber schöne Fleckchen Erde heisst Arosa und liegt im ost-schweizerischen Kanton Graubünden. Seit über 100 Jahren ist der auf 1800 Meter über dem Meer liegende Ort ein beliebtes Feriendomizil für Kur und Wintersport. Von Chur mit der Rhätischen Bahn ca. 1h Stunde durch ein traumhaftes Winter- und Bergpanorama und schon ist man dort. Wie man sich bei einem Winterkurort vorstellen kann, schwankt dir Einwohnerzahl in und zwischen der Saison nicht unerheblich. Leben im Sommer in Arosa ca 2651 Menschen, steigt die Zahl im Winter auf über 3000. Schon ein grosser Unterschied. Für einen angemehmen Aufenthalt sorgen die über 45 Hotels in der Umgebung und für den Spass die insgesamt ca 120km Skipisten und Wanderwege…aber seht selbst…

Where do we go? This small village, we are going to is named Arosa and it is situated in the mountains of the east part of switzeland called Graubuenden in a height of 1′800 meters. Since more than 1ooyrs, Arosa is a famous place for cure and winter sport. From the city of Chur with the “Rhätische Bahn” through an amazing surrounding you will reach the village by train within 1hour. Like you know from a village like Arosa, the population is changing during summer and winter season. In summer, there are living approx. 2′600 people in this small spot of land and in the winter the number of citizen rises up to over 3′000. So you can imagin how many seasonal contracted workers are living in Arosa.Over 45 hotels and lodges and over 120kilometers of slopes, cross-country ski tracks and hiking trails are takin care of a pleasant stay and of much fun.
